Dear forum,
today i was offered a Tamron 200-500mm F6.9 with MD mount. I guess i can put every adaptall on it? What would you pay for such a lens? 350 Euro offers at ebay don't finish. Lenses are clean, bit dust inside.. should be ok. Aperture smooth. All in all in a black leather box with red substance.
I appreciate any answer.
Warm greetings,

One sold for £500 on Ebay UK 21st May with Nikon fit.
Another for £549 . Both were sold second hand. New can be had for £700 upwards.
If seller is private and has no selling fees to pay, then an offer of 450 euros should be attractive.
Hope that helps.

Be sure do you need really this lens, it will be heavy and crappy to use as less than 400mm and not so perfect for 500mm too. I guess from this sum (350 EUR) you can buy at least two prime lens there will be lighter and faster, think about 400mm instead of 500. _________________ -------------------------------

I think the earlier poster is referring to the new af Tamron.
The adaptall versions, both 6.9 and 5.6, don't surface very often and don't command quite those prices. I'd say e350 is a bit steep for the early one, but then there's little to go on.
I have the later one - it's VERY heavy and only for tripods. _________________ Film... and sometimes SD14, 5D2 and some other suff! |

Hi all, I'm a Tamron collector, and I will say the 200-500, 6,9 and 5,6 in mint condition for a maximum of 200 Euros, I have both of them, and I paid less of that for each of them, they are not rare, I saw almost one or two per month.
One just sold on Ricardo for 290 Euros, Mint and with the Very Very rare Teleconverter 200F
