I am surprised to read about this. My Porst 55mm f1.2 clears the 5D mirror ok. |

I have not tested it but the rear element extends around 1mm more than my zenitar 16mm which just does not hit mirror.
The helios 44M-4 is said also to hit the mirror, have not tested it but as I have one 44M-6 and many 50mm lenses I sell it too
