Hi,

I got this lens with another M42 for 10€, it was in like new condition (no usage trace at all, no finger prints, nothing...).

Here are some shots while attached to my 350D + "EOS to M42 adapter" :

F3.5 ISO100 1/1250 -1EV resized + contrast & color enhancement with DPP :

100% Crop of the above :

F5.6 ISO100 1/640 -1EV resized +contrast & color enhancement with DPP :

100% Crop of the above :

This lens, while full opened, is very soft, eavily prone to flare and ghost, with noticeable chromatic aberrations Very Happy I guess it has little if no multi-coating.

Chinon lenses are not bad at all. I never seen any bad ones.

I guess it's the same lens than Vivitar one's:

Regarding the serial number, this Vivitar seems built by Komine. Anyway the Chinon I own has only 6 aperture blades, not 18 as depicted for the Vivitar.

With € 10,- for a Chinon tele, you can't go wrong. Congrats!
