yes, the lens is beautiful -- well it's ALMOST like a brother of the 70-200 -- but it's not..

this lens has not been reissued anymore .. in EF mount ..

It is more the "old" brother. Even with a FD > EOS glass adapter the results were really good. So I hope that I will have an improvement with the converted mount.

Please STOP posting pictures of tasty 80-200mm L series lenses until I WIN ONE.

It is so soon since my most recent loss that it is most insensitive to show pictures of scantily clad young lenses disporting themselves in their new gear!

Please spare a thought for those less fortunate than yourself who sit at home alone with no 80-200mm to cuddle up to, caress and whisper sweet nothings to..

Really you are quite shameless Stan!

Hmm

I am keen on seeing the difference of a similar subject done with FD-EF adapter and the EF mount conversion

1.picture (infinity test) -- f=200mm, f/4 - well, no vignetting because of the APS-C sensor - I would expect a little on FF ..

2.picture -- f=100, f/8 -- superb colours and details .. and bokeh

Both pictures taken by Robert Smile
