Not really as it happens, but when I looked at the image in full-size, I was quite impressed - so, long-distance macro possibilities perhaps Laughing

Carl Zeiss Sonnar T* 2.8/135 in C/Y mount - 100% crop

I have tried my Sonnar 135/2.8 with macro extension tubes. Actually I was not impressed with that. Both Planars 85 and 50 impressed me much more. Sonnar is really good for some other tasks Wink

I hadn't intended to use the lens for macro photography - it was the fact that the 100% crop revealed so much detail that led to my joke...

great details indeed!
pixel peepers review pics at 100% and know that
such macro will have greater dof
in fact it is like having a even more cropped dslr

Yes I understand that. I have just mentioned I tried this lens as a macro. And I like it in "pseudo-macro" more than with macro rings.
