The title says it all. This was shot at about f/4 I think... Smile

Best wishes, Kris.

Can I ask did you intentionally position/or take thought about the two out of focus flowers behind the front flower?
I have seen where one out of focus flower detracts from the photo but as yours shows it can also make it work....like a echo of the sharp flower.

Mo... I spent quite some time trying to find an angle which would get the right balance of the foreground in focus flower and the background ones. It isn't quite right even so, but as close as I could get to what I wanted to achieve.

Best wishes, Kris.

Thanks Kris...where would you have preferred the background flower to be?I am trying to get an idea so I can improve composition in my own photos as I often neglect what is happening in the background. Smile And as you have shown although not quite right it can certainly add to the photo.
I hope this is the right place for asking and I have not taken away from your photo?

No problem mo. I would have preferred it to be a little lower in the frame and on its own. The main OOF flower to the top right is in fact two flowers which makes it look a little too big.

Best wishes, Kris.
