I would like to try a Volna-9, but I had a look on ebay and its prices seem outrageous, about 2x the price of an SMC Tak 55/1.8. So, if you have one you want to sell at a reasonable price, or want to trade with a different lens, PM me.

Volna-9 have never been cheap...

if you would like something similar, the Industar-61 "close focus" can often be had for much less... maybe US$20-30 +shipping.

Industar 61 L/Z should cost are likely cost over $45 USD or more without shipping now.

Well, I already have an Industar 61lz, but what I'd really like to try is the Volna. Smile

I don't know what the going rate for the Volna-9 is these days, but "twice the price" of one of the most mass-produced "standard" lenses for the Pentax screw mount SLRs, for one of the *best* Soviet macro lenses ever made doesn't sound so outrageous to me Smile

I think I payed $125 a while ago for one, worth every penny.

Maybe this gives me reason to take my volna9 out and use it. I have to confess I haven't used it more than once since I got it years ago ... because I'm still reaching for the industar instinctively!

The one time I did try it, it didn't seem to be all that much diff from my industar.

Btw, out of curiosity, what are you offering as an exchange for the V9?

Tough question. Smile

Cash mainly, because I doubt that members in this forum would be interested in any of my lenses. Smile

Anyway, what I have I'm not using and could be used as full or partial payment, in no particular order

* Helios 44-M6
* Industar 61lz
* S-M-C Takumar 55/1.8 and SMC Takumar 55/2
* Kiron 70-210/4 (received in trade from Carsten last month, but I never use it)
* Tamron SP 28-80mm
* Tamron 105/2.5
* Pentacon 100/2.8
* Fujinon EBC 200/4.5, recently cleaned by my repairman
* Mamiya SX 135/2.8
* Kiev4A with Jupiter-8, recently CLA'd by my repairman
* Konica AR Hexanon 50/1.7
* Konica AR Hexanon 135/3.5
* Fujinon 55/1.8
* Pentacon 50/1.8
* Agfa Super Silette with Solinar lens, recently CLA'd by my repairman

And I'm sure there's other stuff which I've forgotten.
