Hi forum, I was aked to buy this lens for 14$ as the owner claims she hasnt use for it. She doesnt seem to know much about lenses though, as me...

"soligor lens 1:4.5 f=250mm No.H31881"

She doesnt have a photo of the mount, hopefully she will get one. But meanwhile, what mount is this likely to be? Is it worth the money? I was going to use it on a film SLR with K mount, would there be adapters?

Question

Theres no way to be certain, but the odds are its easily adaptable.

Its most likely a T-mount type, like nearly all Soligor presets, you can easily get a T-mount for any camera, you will want one for PK.

Much less likely its a fixed mount, and who knows what it is in that case. The fixed mount types are most often M42.

I am guessing its the Komine (Nittoh) made version (there are at least 5 types of Soligor 250mm's). These are usually quite good, my 180mm in this series is very sharp indeed, competitive with the S-M-C Takumar 200mm.

There is no way to know condition, which is another matter. If its in working order its certainly worth $14.

I have read that it's a good lens. The pics taken are good.

$ 14 ???? In my country this lens in canon mount (sure t mount to canon) is $ 62,50. Never one more cheap than $ 50 to 60. Not, never.

You are lucky, man.

Rino.

My Komine made Soligors all start with an "H" serial number and are extremely sharp, to the extent where the 300/5.6 version "looks" as sharp as my Tamron SP 300/5.6 Shocked

Good find!
