Hi Olivier,

that´s a real bargain. For that price a super price-performance-ratio.
Everything under control ?

Olivier, how was set the aperture in the photos? Is it wide open?

I see two kind of Tair-3 300mm: one with a "standard" focusing ring e one with a knob in the bottom of the lens body... which one is yours?

Bye
Jenner

300A is the normal focussing ring, the one with the ring underneath is the one for the Photo Snaiper setup. The lens has great bokeh and when you get it right woohoo, congratulations on getting a lovely lens Olivier.
They fetch a much higher price here in Australia due to shipping cost from EU. Mine cost me less with BIN and shipping from a Russian seller then if I;d won it in a Ebay UK auction as he didn't send with the metal case and split the case and lens to get better postage rates. The UK one sold for 20 pounds so that gives you an idea of what he was going to charge for shipping here.

Hi Rolf Very Happy
Yes, everything is fine. What about you ?

It was real bargain as I got it with a Fujica camera ST-701, a Fujinon lens 1.8/55, a soligor 2.8/35, a soligor 2.8/135, a 3 extension tubes set, a flash handler which screws under the camera body and a beautiful wallet, all that for 100€ delivery costs included.
Here it is :

Jenner, John is right : this is the normal focus ring Tair-300.
Here it is :

Shots were taken wide open at f4.5 or closed one stop at f5.6.

I also have the lens and a cat the same too! I find it much better than the 3s sniper version to use but of course quite big and heavy- well worth the £23 I paid for mine Very Happy
Here is my cat with the Tair3A shot into the light

Very Happy

I believe he got this stuff from parents and didn't know the real prices.
Old film cameras and lenses in the numeric age don't compare with dslr, i-phones, compact point and shoot cameras. So, let's try to sell it as a batch and have a few bills.
It wasn't on "evil bay".

I speak from experience when I say the Sniper version is not the best lens I have ever owned.

Lot of CA but sharp, even wide open.

But it is so fun to use it with the shotgun trigger Very Happy

Which version do you own martinsmith ? Grey one or black one.

Mine is black !
