Hello,

I recenlty bought a Helios 40 85 mm f1.5.

I already have M39 and M42 adaptation ring for Nikon.

Do you where I can found adaptation ring with AF control in the camera? I found some on the bay for Canon EOS but didn't find the same for Nikon.

Thanks

No AF on any camera. Do you mean focus confirm ? Canon needs a "chip". Nikon doesn't need one. You can use the lens with either a simple mechanical adapter - which means that you will lose infinity - or with an adapter with an optical element. In both cases the green dot will light when the subject is in focus.

Note that you might not reach infinity even with an adapter with an optical element. The M39 and M42 register distances are different.

Thanks John for your answer.

I meant AF confirm, of course! That's fine for me if the green light works with the mechanical rings.

I knew that I will loose infinity, but for portraits, I don't think it's so important.

The delivery of the rings parcels is expected this week. I hope everything will be ok.
