Hello there,

After several months of waiting, today I finalized my purchase of toys, 5D and 13 lenses! Everything came in pieces over the last two months (being camera the latest!) and I just started shooting - what a relief.

I am a first time MF lens shooter and I wanted to perform a quick comparison of lenses. Here are the contenders:

24-28mm category:
Canon 24-105 f4 - auto focus
Nikon 24mm f2.8 (AI)
Panagor 28mm f2.5
Super takumar 28mm f3.5
RMC Tokina 28-85mm f4

~50mm category:
Canon 24-105 f4 - auto focus
Leitz Summicron-R 50mm f2
Meyer Oreston 50mm f1.8
Chinon 55mm f1.7
Helios 44m 58mm f2
RMC Tokina 28-85mm f4

~100mm category:
Canon 24-105 f4 - auto focus
RMC Tokina 28-85mm f4
Olympus Zuiko 100mm f2.8

135mm category:
Jupiter 37A 135mm f3.5
Super takumar 135mm f3.5
Panagor 135mm f2.8 (duh! forgot this one to test)

200mm category:
Super takumar 200mm f4

I am in rush now; however pics are here: http://alpella.smugmug.com/gallery/11835896_cRBo4#836747506_YVFHb

I touched them very quickly in Lightroom to fix exposure, brightness and blacks. All shots are handheld, sorry in advance with (not so) horizantal planes and some oof shots!

I will come back with my virgin comments, so far though I really liked almost all of them... Zuiko is a breeze to focus Wink

Same happen to me, I had lots of lenses but my camera arrived yesterday, some lenses have not arrived yet
The 5d is an amaizing camera, the per pixel sharpness is excellent

Congrats ! Now you have an excellent camera with many lenses, some of them stunning in it's focal length!
