My question is did Sun make any primes in the 1960's-1970's or were they made by Sankor.

Do you have a Sun Prime from this era and can you please post a pic.
By the time the silver top YS Zooms were out in the mid 1970's, The primes appear to be Sun made. At leat they look like the Zooms. I've seen one so far, and not that good of a pic so I can't be certain of Maker.

If you have any Sun lens that the serial number ends in E please post it.
That appears to be the Sankor code on most lenses that they made.

I have a 1960's Sun 135 3.5 that appears to be Sankor made.

1) E code
2) chrome ring
3) looks like a Sankor of that era, not a Sun.

If you have any ideas please post. I don't mind being wrong, so if you can disprove my theory, please do. Smile
