And this one I missed the focus on, but the B&W conversion hides it quite well.

The fourth shot is excellent the focus is close enough and it gives a bit of motion to it- those canada geese look very good in B+W as well great shot Very Happy

Thankyou Martin, I've been trying to find some bird pictures taken with a 300 Tamron (prime or zoom) for fish to see for his hawks, and these will do very nicely! Can you say roughly how far the geese were away from you? That will help to decide if a TC is necessary.

BTW, I had an SP 2xTC arrive today, I haven't had time to play around with it yet. Smile

I like the B&W conversion the best. Print worthy.
You have a sharp copy.
I'm lurking for Nikon 300mm ED.

Hello Martin.

Nice shots. You surely caught their eyes.
I like the last one very much. It renders very well in B&W and the out of focus is not noticeable. It gives the image a soft tone touch that I like very much. Sharpness and in focus aren't the absolute rule... Wink
