Mamiya RB67 lenses on a DSLR (Nikon)?

I know the question has been asked before... but does anyone have information on where to find or how to build an adapter to use the Mamiya RB67 lenses on a Nikon body?

Of course, due to the RB's bellows focusing system, it wouldn't just be a mount adapter... It would have to be a bellows system and maybe could involve a tilt mechanism as well.


I shoot regularly with my RB67 with the 50mm sekkor C lens & the 127mm. Both are amazing and after seeing everything you guys are doing with various adapters I really want to see if this is possible on a Nikon body. Currently I am still using a d40 for my digital needs, but I am likely to upgrade to an HD video Nikon body soon and I also want to pick up a Nikon F body to replace the Canon Ae-1 I just had stolen.


After I save up, I may just end up going a different direction, something like the Mamiya 645 lenses or even a Zeiss or Leica route (when $$$ grows on trees) but if I can do with with the RB lenses I already have... that would be great.

Any thoughts would be very appreciated...

Someone in HK may be able to make a special one. I got the adapter for Mamiya M645 lens, but not the RB67

Well... I decided to try a quick hack. I just wanted to see if pursuing the concept of using RB67 lenses on a cropped digital sensor is even worth the time. And I gotta say I am def interested in continuing this concept into a full rigid form.



[D40 Body] - [Extension Tube] - [Amputated Changing Bag Sleeve w/ Toilet Plunger Ribbing for Structure] - [Mamiya RB67's 50mm Sekkor-C Lens w/ Clamp]

The changing bag sleeve surpringly holds the heavy lens to the extension tube (though I'm not about to wander around with out holding both the body and the lens). At the current ghetto state, it's basically a giant LensBaby. I plan to clean it up, but it works. Having a more rigid structure with rails would be great to force a non tilt/shift look. But to be honest, I like a mobile set up. I prefer to carry both the digital and RB67 bodies and handhold.
