yes - very, very rare and very, very expensive.
Was made by Canon in small number when they changed the mount from FD to EF (EOS). But only usable for few lenses - not for all FD lenses.

I don't think so, but then he has it. Personally, I think there is "fair" which can be difficult to determine and gouging. That is definitely gouging. That is about 2.5x higher than I've seen them in the past 2 or 3 years. _________________ Pentax: K, H2, H3, S3, SV (late & early), SV black, Spot F, K2 chrome, K2 black, ME F, SuperProgram, 6x7, Auto 110, Asahiflex IIB late

Without any calculator this price is round about 500,00 Euros. I have seen this converter for much more money here at German *bay - and not in good condition.
So the price is high - this converter makes sense only if you own or can grab for a very good price an old white FD lens.

Hi Henry,
what is the used price for this lens ? |
Sorry Rolf, i dont know that. I did rent the lens for 2 days from a hire company long time ago (dont remember this exactly).. for a special "Paparazzi" - job.
To exclusive and expensive to buy... and they are very, very rare.
If anyone have this lens.. he will never let her go.
http://www.mir.com.my/rb/photography/companies/canon/fdresources/fdlenses/400mm.htm
You can find sometimes the cheap 400mm 4.5 for example this one...
http://www.hood.de/auction/37098248/canon-fd-400-1-4-5-s-s-c-chromring-mit-zubehoer.htm
But i dont know this lens.. and i think, its poor against the 2.8/400mm, so i doesnt make any sense to combine this with the shown adapter..
The adapter in my eyes makes only sense, if you have one or more of the old lenses as described in the offer.
If someone plans to use this old but very good 2.8/400, he can save a lot of money and convert the lens to a new mount directly instead of combining with the adapter. Dont remember the construction of the telelens (long long ago) but to bring a telephoto - Lens from 42mm to 44mm register distance should be not so tricky.
Here are some ebay prices, someone has watched and posted in the net.. over years..
http://mywebpages.comcast.net/starka/CanonFD_ebay2.htm
Cheers

Why not - you should try it. May be you will find a thickie.
@Henry - the last price for 4.5/500L FD was approx. 1.300,00 Euro, so the 2.8/400L FD price I believe between 2.500,00 and 3.000,00 Euro plus adapter plus the risk of no longer spare parts.
I don´t know
