Hi,
our last trip was to Franconia, a German region between Würzburg and Nuremberg. It was a visit only with Contax N1, Vario Sonnar 24-85mm and 10 rolls Provia 100F.
Here some shots
Scanned with Nikon Coolscan 5000 ED.
Thanks for viewing and any comments.

Look sky . like made on print film or over exposed slide. Normally Provia make deep blue sky even if wasn't there. _________________ -------------------------------

It was shocking experience to visit Switzerland and South Germany same time. I did not use highway due lot of traffic jams. Germany was everywhere so clean, clean and when I did visit Basel it was huge disappointment even compare with Münich or Frankfurt Basel was dirty everywhere. I always enjoy photos from Rolf, I wish to go back sometimes. _________________ -------------------------------

Ok, Basel is the worst sample for a town in Switzerland due to many chemical industry. Furthermore it is a town with lot of border traffic. Not sure but most of the transit is going via Basel. _________________ Rolf

Wow Rolf, great pictures! I recognised Rothenburg straight away. I've played in several band concerts there, under the famous clock in the Marktplatz (pic 3). We had to stop playing while it chimed and all the little figures pop out of their hiding places. We liked the all-year Christmas shops too. _________________ Peter - Moderator |

Thanks all for your friendly comments.
Yes Peter, the shops of Käthe Wohlfahrt are very famous. For all who do not know the story - you can buy the whole year Christmas items at these shops - and the whole year you can listen Christmas music

I was working it out, I think I've played 6 concerts there now. We don't feel like tourists any more. We spend all day sitting in the shade eating and drinking beer outside a hotel on Am Plönlein, near the archway gate.
We were having lunch once in the McDonalds near the Marktplatz and a group of elderly American tourists came and sat at our table. They were very friendly and chatty. They said they were on a whistle-stop tour of Europe - "Today it's Germany, yesterday was Poland and tomorrow we're doing France." _________________ Peter - Moderator |
