It's been said that people in Paris can sometimes be notoriously difficult to deal with. And that they are haughty, self-centred and aloof...

I'd like to dispel that rumour, and tell you that these subjects were the epitome of good manners, patience and that most valuable of virtues, silence Wink

All photos taken in Pére Lachaise cemetery, on the 40D with S-M-C Takumar 2/35.

nice series
I am not sure they show patience, I think they completely ignore you
and if they stay silent, it's probably from lack in anglish

These are all very striking. I really like the composition of each one.

Great photo op - I love cemeteries. Fun series, and they are probably the only well behaved models in Paris!

He died in 1971 Rolling Eyes

The bust on his headstone was vandalised and finally stolen, and has not been replaced. I was fortunate enough to see the bust on my first visit to Pére Lachaise many years ago though. I visited his grave this time, but it's not particularly photogenic - even for a fan of The Doors as I am.

Thanks!

Didn't bother with Morrison's grave this time around - too many squealing teenagers hanging around there Wink

Excellent shooting with a fab lens --- #1 is my fave. I find shooting statues is actually pretty difficult, you do well here.
