I only got the lens for 3 weeks and I haven't use it because of the bad weather here... most of them in cloudy weather (88mm in my 350d handheld ). My first tries in macro.. Razz

The first two shots in your first post are really lifelike - overall a very nice series Smile

Thanks guys for the comments Very Happy

Really hard to focus with the 350D, even with AF confirm+x1.33 magnifier eyecup. Also the DOF is so narrow even at f8 Evil or Very Mad . No question to use the M2 ring it was very hard to focus handheld.

It's a great lens and you have made a good start with it. Tripod usually recommended

I love this lens. IMO its the best lens at its price point.

Tripod and focusing rail will blow your mind.

Great lens, ain't it? I sure like mine! If you want some even cooler close-ups, pick up a cheap set of extension tubes off eBay for 1:1 and greater.

I've got the Nikon M2 ring for 1:1 with the lens... haven't used yet since it's to difficult without a tripod Very Happy
