Thank you.
Mine is the preset version. To me it is a very nice looking lens.
It is very solid in construction and performance. |

I had one which worked well on my Pentax Spotmatic F.
It did have a sticky aperture, which I believe is not a rare problem. Not good for automatic mode on a compatible body.
Worth checking before you buy I think. |

I compared them here: http://forum.mflenses.com/another-lens-test-25-lenses-t75688.html
They're both very good but the Pentacon might actually be a tiny bit better. And of course it's faster. And it can be found cheaper. There are quite few different versions of both though, they were produced for many years with small updates and there's bound to be a lot of sample variation. What I found in my testing is valid just for my two copies. _________________ my flickr stream |

I've got it too, but I think my copy predates the invention of coatings - single aperture without preset or clicks, and shooting it when there is a trace of sunshine in its field of view washes out all contrast. Still, with some judicious Light(g)rooming and thanks to LR 6's dehazing function, even those shots can be salvaged. And it is perfectly suited for less critical circumstances.
1:
2: Bokeh balls, but only after some lightroom work to bring back the contrast
3: Mfd 1.5 mtrs: nice sharpness and not too distracting bokeh
4: Now and then, some quite amazing sharpness and (color) rendering come sooc
