Chrom Nose vs Black Nose , Chrome wins?

I 've used FD lens for a period. FD lenses are really great to deal and enjoy in todays's price. However, I notice the price of older FD Chrome Nose lenses. Such effect is similar to that of Nippon Kogaku.

I have two chrome noses, 24mm f/2.8 and 50mm f/1.4. Both of them are really great preformers but that seems does not really much better than later Black Nose (aka SSC) versions. I have compared chrome 50mm f/1.4 with another SSC 50 f/1.4. The result is SSC seems a little bit better .

So what acuatlly mades the chrome one has higher price? Are they really much better than later SSC?
