just for kicks, i took out my little silver pancake industar 50mm 3.5 that i got of less than $20usd to see what it could do in my no contrast landscape at f8.0. well, i was surprised; what are your thoughts?! PLEASE CLICK ON EACH PHOTO FOR BEST RESOLUTION

on #1 it sure picks up the upward reflected light on the branches very well, that's a really good result. Nope, no problem with the lens at all, I'd be happy to use it.

Great place and nice pictures. This lens offers a very good price-performance ratio.

Great shots. I like the 3rd.

I have a 50-2 and I'm impressed with the sharpness. Contrast needs a bit of help though and it can flare badly too..
