Bad UK seller on ebay photo-kit

I bought a Tamron SP 48-80mm from photo-kit on ebay. The lens was described as exc, in perfect mechanical and optical condition and with only a few very small coating marks.

What I received is a lens with a non-working lock on the adaptall 2 mount (the tiny pin that snaps open when you mount an adaptall adapter), and a huge patch of deep scratches on the front lens.

The seller refuses a partial refund ( I would have kept the lens for spares), they only told me in a very impolite way to ship back the lens. I opened a paypal claim, and now I have to pay out of my own pocket for registered shipping to the UK. I lost one month, other good auctions, and about 15 euros.

I will avoid them at all costs in the future, you might want to do the same.

Google pick it up them successfully based on title I guess.

Mmmh, I would say that 17 neutral and 11 negativ feedbacks are too much for a professional seller within one year - it is approx. 3 %

We actually have quite a few bad names in this section of the forum. Maybe someone could assemble a list (with thread references)?

yes! that's a great idea -- just make a list for internal purposes to quickly check those sellers ..
