Is anybody here bidding on this one?

http://www.shopgoodwill.com/auctions/Collection-Of-Various-Flashes--Lenses-5647476.html

Seems like there might be a few lenses in that pile that interest folks here. But it also seems like the amount has been bid up beyond a reasonable number. Which also seems typical for Goodwill's bidders.

All I ask, if one of you are the successful bidder, that you consider selling me that Kyoei Super Acall 135/3.5. I bought my original Canon IVSb with one of those lenses attached, and for sort of sentimental reasons I'd like to get another one.

hey mike and doug
my question with auctions like these is how do you know what mount these are, or doesnt that matter because you guys can change the mounts yourselves? i have even emailed some goodwill buyers to determine mounts, but never got a reply....

I would, but I boycott shopgoodwill until they lax up on their unfriendly nationalist "no international shipping" stance.

Usually I can figure out what the mount is if they show it and their photos aren't too awful. In situations where I can't, I've sent the Goodwill seller a message asking for more information about the mount. I usually ask very specific questions so they can look for details on the mount to help me determine what camera it's for. So far, this has worked well for me.

I saw this, but is even the one Leica worth over $500?

Often after many years of experience a glimpse is good enough.. or I just ask questions... lol Usually whatever the mount I can get an adapter for the lens to fit my Panasonic L-1 even if I dont have an appropriate 'native' DSLR...

A 2.8/35mm Summaron? Probably not. But the grab bag also includes a Pieskor 250mm, a Kyoei SA 135/3.5, and a Spiratone (Sigma) 18mm.

So there are a few goodies there, but I would be inclined to think that $500 is too much. Especially since there are no good photos of these lenses and good descriptions as to their condition.

I'll take the anamorphic adapter off your hands if you're not interested in it... although the 16D is a pretty small mount it might be fun to try on one of my 135mm lenses.

Good luck, wish they gave you better pics than this...
