Yesterday I recieved my desiderable M42 cam - SP II. It has interesting serial no. S-M-C 28/3.5 is also new (from another seller).

I've a few questions concerning SP II. What kind of battery are you using with it?
I want to use with it C-41 B&W films too (e.g. Ilford XP2 Super). How I should set the camera for this? For B&W or for colour films?

What a wonderful film camera, my favourite one!
I've got mine from Peter (peterqd) as a generous guest present (!) who managed to solve the battery problem. Perhaps he can tell you how.

I bought several of these: S400PX Exell
It is 1.55v but works just fine on a Spotmatic, as the Spotties have balancing circuits.

Thanks. What about LR 9? I think, it is usable too.
