Anyone here heard of this lens yet ? How does it compare to Super/SMC Takumars, Orestor/Pentacon or Tair ? What's your recommended price for such a lens ?

Is it the one with "zebra" design ? Most of these seem to have been made by Sankyo/Sankor. Spiratone was a US distributor.

The consensus around here seems to be that its an excellent lens subjectively. I have one, and I have no complaints at all.

I don't believe anyone has made objective resolution tests vs Takumars, etc. but my guess would be that the difference would be academic.

These should be available for very cheap, less than Takumars and much less than Zeiss, because they have no collectors value. For a US ebay price I would consider $10 fair.
