Hello there!

I´m going to sell my 35-70mm F3,5 Zoom-Nikkor. I use it too rarely, although its image quality is really great, and it delivers beautiful colours.

It dates from 1977/1978 according to the serial number, and shows just some traces on the outer barrel. Mechanics are perfect and lenses are clear.

The original Nikon lens caps (front: 72mm!) are included.

I´m asking 135,-€ plus actual shipping costs from Germany.

If you are interested or have any further questions, just send me a message.

Greetings

Benedikt

Price updated to 111,-€ plus shipping Very Happy

I would also be willing to make an exchange with value compensation against a Nikkor 28mm F3,5 Ai(S) in very good condition.

Does anyone have anything to offer?

Regards

Benedikt

Just a note, I have this lens & can vouch for it's quality...You do need a proper hood when using it though...

You´re absolutely right. I´ve been using a foldable rubber lens hood which is pretty convenient to use.

I also have this lens (although the version with the 62mm filter ring diameter - optical configuration however is the same) and can also recommend it!

Important update about the lens:

I have been using it again over the last days, and I noticed that the focus mechanic feels a bit dry, and the resistance when turning the focus ring is not exactly identical when compared over the focus range.

Because of this, I´m changing the price to

90,-€ plus actual shipping costs.

A nice weekend for all of you

Benedikt

Lars,
The newer version is different optically, as well as being a 62mm filter size & having a "macro" function...Here is a link to Bjorn Rorslett's review of both versions...

Scott,

according to Roland Vink, they're the same, check it out:
http://www.photosynthesis.co.nz/nikon/specs.html#xx-70

Code:

Type   Lens   Optic   Angle   f/   Bl   Close   Macro   Focus Throw   Filter   Diam   Length   Total Length

AI   35-70/3.5   10/9   62° - 34°20   22   7   1   ?      72r   75   92.5   101   550

Ai-S   35-70/3.5   10/9   62° - 34°20   22   7   0.7/0.35   1:3.9      62r   66.5   96.5   105   520

But what I didn't know is that they would perform differently. Some months ago Bjorn hadn't reviewed the two together, and I think I inquired him if he had.

Interesting!

The "mir" site shows two different optical constructions...

No, because there is a thick blue line separating the rows, which on his site means a change of optics.

Ok - thanks for clearing this, I thought they were the same based on Roland's page. I stand corrected then :)
