I think lens hoods are always useful, even with the "best" multi coated lenses. Not only in sunshine, but also in the rain! Raindrops on the lens produce images with a certain "character", but it may not be the one we want.

First. Thanks for sharing.

Second. I used shade with leica M lenses. The differences where there. Shade, shade, shade and then, shade.
