FoV 28mm & 35mm on crop and fullframe

Hi!

Having the chance to shoot on fullframe now, digitally, I was interested in a comparison of the DoF of regular FLs.

All shot from the very same position.

First, a 28mm on fullframe:


Then, a 35mm on fullframe:


Now, a 28mm on 1.6x crop:


And finally, a 35mm in 1.6x crop:


Yes, I know, we can calculate that, but to see it in direct comparison gives you a much stronger idea, doesn't it.

I don't think it's too bad, you just need to know when and how to use it.

I tried cropping the full frame image to be the same size as the one on the 40D to check DOF. Unfortunately it pixelates so still none-the-wiser.
