I still keep it.
My grand father bought it for my father. When I was 9, my father found it in a box of useless things and told me he was his first camera. And he gave it to me. That was the beginnig of my passion...
I'ts still working, but I cannot find since very long those old 110 films.

Best regrards,
Jes.

It's a Baby Brownie! That's fantastic Jes, it must be nearly 70 years old. Do you still have any pictures you took with it?

My father had one too, I think it was a "Special" version, but it was cracked and let light in - the bakelite was very brittle. Yours looks like it is made of metal, so maybe it's even older.

My own first camera was the Brownie 127. It was my 7th birthday present in 1953 and I remember taking some pictures at the Queen's Coronation in London! 8 big pictures on a roll of 127 film. I've probably got some prints somewhere Very Happy[/url]

What a nice idea to talk about first cams!

This was my first cam, given to me by my father. I still have it and it still works.

Franka Francolor 125 with a Isco Color-Isconar 2.8/45 lens and a Prontor 250S shutter.

No, it's bakelite as well. It's also somewhat cracked in the borders... It has been kept in its own leather case when not in use, now for some tens of years.

And yes, I keep some prints from around 1960 taken with it. I have to scan them... It would be very nice if you could find & scan yours!.

Best regards,
Jes.

Never seen one of those before!. Looks pretty, similar to the Voďgtlander that lent me my uncle around 1965. Do you still use it?.
Best regards,
Jes.

My first cam was a Pentacon SIX with an 80mm f2.8 Biometar I sold it because I can't develop color films by my self and I would shoot on slides what I could develop myself. So I sold it and bought a Praktica MTL5 B still like mint, after all I had twenty year break in photography. First I bought a digital video camera and captured still images. This wasn't good quality at all, but in 1999 I couldn't afford to buy a good small video camera and a good still camera too. I went to India for half year I decided to go with video camera. After all I bought an Olympus compact I still think it was a good decision. Later I would shoot with SLR again I had choice to take a Canon 350 ,Nikon D50 or Olympus E-500. I found Nikon has the best ergonomic design. So I started to shoot with Nikon D50 with kit lens and an Sigma 70-300 APO DG lens. I wouldn't like at all the kit lens, but I still believe this Sigma is a very good lens. I love it. So mflenses.com was born I can't test M42 lens infinity distance with Nikon I had to buy a new cam. Olympus E-1 was in running out from stocks I bought one in the last minute. Now I am happy Olympus owner and still want a NIKON !!! Smile
