Hi guys,

after searching for a 135mm for some time I bought a Porst MC 135mm f1.8 some time ago.

Here are some samples of this lens! It's build so sturdy and feels really nice in my hands. It's a little bit heavy on CAs wide open but it really shines at f4 or at f1.8 at night!

Here are some samples with f1.8, f2.8 and f4!

hi k

nice results, esp 1 which is also a nice composition and interesting subject. i wonder who manufactured your lens, as from my research it seems porst was a german department/camera store that bought their lenses from elsewhere--often from cosina i think, but im certainly not an expert--i just did some research because i have a porst 35-105mm that i love. i also like the 135mm meyer, which is 2.8 and, like yours, provides good sharpness and good bokeh.

The old Spiratone 135mm f/1.8 was made by Sigma -- even had the Greek sigma logo on it. And, of course, Sigma produced on under its own label as well. I've seen these old 135/1.8s in a variety of brand names, but I don't know if Sigma was the only maker of them.

Today the weather was bad but made some nice motives for my Porst.

All of these are stopped down from f4 up to f16

I thnk especially the white duck which was shot at f5.6 makes clear what potential this lens has in stopping down!
