Has any one fitted one of these?

Is it a cheap Chinese copy of something better? Are they worth bothering with?

Thanks

Mike

I have fitted a similar screen om a Canon Eos 450D.
I works brilliantly with large apertures, but from f 8 and smaller it can be fiddly to use because the screen gets to dark.
There are workarounds (focus using large aperture, then set small aperture), but I would not advice them on a camera for everyday use.

Ah, thanks. That does confirm what I was thinking. 'Anything' in the path of the light must block something.

Thanks

Mike

The tradition matte of the screen on your link should be dimmer when compared to your original focsuing screem. You can find more information on inexpesive focusing screen at http://www.focusingscreen.com/privacy.php .

I forgot to mention the problem only occurs when using a mf lens + adapter. AF-lenses leaves the large aperture until you take the picture.
No af-lights lighting up, but an in focus beep when sharp.
