Some more images taken last weekend in the outside "real" world as the first ones were taken indoor.
Canon 5D + Porst 55mm f1.2 lens + MC Filter. Mostly at shot f1.2, ISO 50 to 160. Processed gently in LR3 b2.
#1 Rocky shore
#2 Enjoying the sea breeze!
#3 My half frame Russian camera came along as well!
#4 A close up shot of the rocks
#5 A friendly dog in the neighbourhood
#6 Moved on to another beach - not sharp at f1.2 I think mainly due to lack of DoF
#7 Some artistic close up shots - dog's foot prints
#8 I though this would make a nice composition for the foreground
#9 Sand dune fencing & me 1
#10 Sand dune fencing 2
#11 My foot prints
#12 This ends my series nicely
Hope you enjoy them! |

Hi Attila,
Thanks. I must admit that this is the only lens that I have attached to my 5D and felt that I would never want to take off ever again! It is very sharp even at f1.2 in the right condition.
Now I need to test it at night to see what it can produce! |

That last one looks nice stopped down. A good performer wide open too. I recently got this lens in its 1.4 version. I hope it performs close to it's big brother. How is the build quality on the 1.2? I find the 1.4 build to be a bit cheap. _________________ 500D / SPII / FTn / Contax D / 137MA / Contaflex

Hi,
Build quality is beautiful. All metal. I have a PK mount lens. It's a pity I don't have a Pentax dSLR and I had to remove the aperture lever to make it useable on the 5D!
This lens is really super cheaper for its light gathering capability and IQ! I got in *BAY for €120 so it is not that bad. |
