Going by the other examples taken by the gentlman, with this lens, it is optically far superior to the Heligon and Kowa electron focus lenses recovered from old Cathode Ray Tubes, CRTs, aka TVs. It is a very good lens apparently.
It gives a very good result, despite the lack of a focus range inscribed on the anonymous barrel.
The Bokeh is nearly circular and quite attractive, but it has the Petzval circularity of out of focus, oof, bokeh so that there is an overall distracting circularity of oof elements competing with the subject in focus.
Could it be a Canon 0.95 adapted, as shown, to a Leica M8 mount, without the original lens barrel? I cannot claim to have used either lens, but I haven't encountered Yakumo as a brand before, either? The user says it is a 1 inch machine vision lens. Usually these are c mount lenses. |
