New entry level Pentax camera with 1/6000 (max shutter speed), 4,7 fps, movie mode, and a 12 Mpx CMOS sensor (Sony ?) etc.

I know my daughter wants one, in some non-black color.

I probably want one, though I'll need to see how it works with manual focus lenses - screw mount and K - before fully salivating. Oh, and it doesn't take a cable release, so you're stuck with infrared remote / 2second delay options only.

have been lusting after this small form factor samsung sensored mf handling tons of feature machine of many colors for months. believe it or not, one thing i really hate is that its powered by aa batteries...i have seen this for less than $600usd!

One thing to remember, this is NOT Samsung sensor, it's a Sony sensor. Don't know about the fantastic Pentax color we're used to with the Samsung sensors, but the K-x/Sony sensor has absolutely phenomenal high ISO performance (said to be on par with Nikon D300, and much better than D90). I'm really tempted to get it for a sub of my K-7. It is most likely the best entry-level DSLR on the market right now, by far.
