Any experiences with this lens?

It has been in my family for over 28 years. My father has bought it together with ME Super. It flares quite a lot (no hood), but other ways is surprisingly good performer.

I challenge the Tamron with this lense.
It is going to be better. Anyone can borrow their Tamron 35-80? Smile

If not I can run a challenge between this and AF Tamron SP 28-75/2.8, which should be a great performer also.

Well I shot my own finger in macro which I thought was quite good as I was holding the camera with the other hand and moving in and out to focus, also it would be sharper if I had used 100 asa instead of Superia 200asa.

Im not fond of the XR lenses. I own a 50mm wich i find to be rather average at best. Sad
