I just bought one of these from Speed Graphic.



It came with no instructions, but after I figured it out I got the film out on the 2nd try.

1. slide up the 1st slider into the film canister
2. turn the film counter clockwise until you hear a click
3. slide up 2nd slider
4. grip the tongs as closely as possible to the opening of the canister and pull the tool out slowley, shifting your grip continually along towards the canister whilst doing so.

Those are nifty gadgets for sure. And I'm amazed: they work! Smile

I have one similar but without the plastic handle (Old style) They work great.
