You need to do more "cheating" in scanning as the 40mm f1.8 should look sharper in your shots, because it's a sharp lens.

Orio's zeissification to show a hexanon 40mm f1.8 as a sharp lens using that damn Fuji 200asa that you dislike:-

The 1.8/40 is indeed a sharp performer. Better to have the original scan
to work with, but:



Ran it through Bibble and then PS to clean some spots in the sky. If they
were birds, sorry. Wink Laughing

Indeed but the image is only about 600k to play with..but using Orio's micro contrast2 i.e amount 10% radius 80 pixels did sharpen the view and the file increased to 780k.
