This evening at the Rio de Janeiro docs. D80 and Nikkor 50mm f/1.4. All shots around f8. It was really hot. Today was the hottest day for years, 41ºC in the shadow....

Great images from a great lens Fernando, they all have that "reach out and touch" quality to them Wink

Patrickh, I agree with you. My fave lenses are Nikkor and Takumar 50 f/1.4. I din't try the Nikkor H 85 f/1.8, Micro 55 f/3.5 and Q 135 f/2.8 yet. I will receive them back from service tomorow.

If you want to get fancy:

28/2.8 AIS -focus to 0.2m
35/1.4
105/2.5
105/1.8
135/2
180/2.8

are all superlative lenses Smile Smile

I'm not a nikon man, but I want to try all of them, especially the 1,4/35 and the 2,8/180. They are so famous.....

The 35mm F1,4 is pretty soft below F4, but then it´s incredible.

Very good suggestions, btw. patrickh!

I would like to add the 20mm F4 and the 55mm F3,5 Micro Very Happy

I should have listed the 20/4, it is a really fine lens

Cool

By the way, I see you have got a 45mm Ai-P! Shocked

That´s one I have always wanted to try for some reason, but I never got a good offer. What do you think about it, e.g. compared to the 50mm F1,4, 50mm F2 or 55mm Micro F3,5? In terms of sharpness, 3D, contrast, bokeh and colours...

If you find the time to Wink

Thanks and greetings

Benedikt

The 45 AI P is a genuine pancake - very small. I have the silver version which is way cool. One of the best lenses for architecture, virtually devoid of distortion. Lovely colors, creamy OOF rendering. And sharp. Can be awkward for large hands! I love the little thing

Thanks! Sounds very good... I´m using the 55 Micro for these things, but the 45 would come in handy. I think I´ll look out for one.

Best regards

Benedikt

I would add the Nikkor 135/3.5 AI to the aforementioned list, as it can be had for very cheap. It's amazing how sharp and clean it is wide open!
