Here's the Emir's administrative palace in the centre of Doha, Qatar. If the proportions of the building make you think it is a reasonably normal size, compare the size of the windows with the cars or people in the foreground.



This was shot into really bad lighting, with the sun high to the left, to see what IR did with it. It's not great but better than ordinary colour would have done, I think. The greyscale is converted from the green channel.

Yes, IR can be very nice if we can't make normal shoot. You catch very well this nice place.

Perhaps, for the record and for anyone interested in starting shooting IR, it's worth pointing out that this is an example from an IR converted camera, so the shutter speed was fast enough to freeze the position of cars in the traffic.

With an IR filter on an unconverted camera, the motion would be blurred because the sensor cover filter acts like an extremely dark neutral density filter as far as IR light is concerned.
