yes, good looks, right?
have not shot any film yet, but from what I can tell it is working very well. It's very clean all around, the film chamber looks as if from a brand new camera _________________ my photos on flickr: https://www.flickr.com/photos/kuuan/collections |

Wasn't that Asahi's first SLR? In addition to being a pristine, museum-quality piece, it seems it must be somewhat important to photography history, too. _________________ http://www.youtube.com/user/hancockDavidM |

yes, the Asahiflex I made 1952 to 1953 is said to be the first SLR made in Japan.
The IIA shown here is the latest Asahiflex made 1955 - 1957 before a prism was added to make for the "Original Pentax" or "Pentax AP" in 1957: http://forum.mflenses.com/pentax-ap-with-takumar-f2-58mm-t45844.html
for info see: http://camerapedia.wikia.com/wiki/Asahiflex
