Hello all,
I did a purchase last week which made me very happy. I walked along the local photo store. I always look through the window for used gear and most of the time return home with something. The last time with an Eyemik a.k.a. Porst 1.8/135 mm. Now he had a Novoflex 5.6/400 follow focus bellow version in OM mount. I found it hugh. Then my wife attended me on another lens. An Olympus Zuiko auto-T 4.5/300 mm. She: You don't have that one do you, want to look closer? Me: o.k. letś get in the shop. I asked the seller to show me the Zuiko and he fetched the lens. Complete with front and rear cover and even the housing though that one was well used. Lens however clean and tidy. Price Euro 115,00. While having the lens in my hand, the seller asked me if I had seen the Novoflex lens. Price Euro 149,00. I told him I did and my wife asked him to fetch that one also. He did and I was impressed, it's huge. Even larger then the sniper set I have. He handed it over to me and told me that I needed an OM camera with winder for it. I told him that I put an adapter on it and than my E-1. I also told him that I have an OM-1 but no winder. Then he said he had a winder eventually. I looked at my wife and she only nodded her head. Do it! So in the end I left the shop with an Zuiko 4.5/300 and Novoflex 5.6/400 for Euro 264,00. The winder I got for free. Now I have to find spare time to try them and take some pictures.
Regards form a happy guy, Cliff |
