Circuit Pens

Anyone know how those circuit pens work in comparison to good ole fashioned soldering? Once it hardens it seems to hold just as well but I'm still not sure how suitable it is for fixing the wiring within a camera. Any thoughts? Thanks

these are commonly used and work well for repair of broken/missing traces on circuit boards. also used for one-off circuitry. and for engineering/customer service "fixing" of design mistakes and some "upgrades." just make repairs at least the same width as original trace...

they don't work so well in high-current applications, but none of those are found in electronic cameras; better in those cases to lay down a short piece of wire ends soldered to remaining parts of broken trace.
