I was googling for lens diagrams and found a couple of places with quite a few diagrams and possibly interesting text content too. I say possibly, as one is in Italian which I don't understand and the other mostly Japanese I guess and my understanding on kanji is zero. Some English on that site though.

For Japanese sites, if you go to Google, and select "Language tools", you can get a basic tanslation of text.

For example, the M-Rokkor 28mm F2.8 translates to:

"Minolta CLE was provided for three of the book "M Rockall" of the wide-angle lens. Lens is very compact, lightweight and easy to use.
28mm lenses are also manufacturers of high performance where there is even less fuzzy and wide-angle, heading the difference in performance is hard lenses, this lens is a lens that is better equipped to any mistakes no. Very rich color reproduction and sharp depiction not only clear, always pleasing and precious time by bringing you xxxx"

The "M Rockall" is actually "M Rokkor", as there is no "L" in Japanese, the R is sometimes mistaken translated to "L".

You can also use Google to translate the whole webpage:

Paste "http://www.oldlens.com/" into google and do a search. Pick the first one, and click on [translate this page].

Now when you click on the lenses (etc), it will automatically translate it!!!!! Very Happy

~~~~~~~
You sometimes have to sift through the translation but there's a few that don't get translated, but here's what some of them mean:
Raikamauntorenzu - Raika maunto renzu - Leica Mount Lens
Maikurofosazu - Maikuro fo sazu - Micro four thirds
Waitobaransuburaketto - Waito baransu buraketto - White Balance / Bracket
etc
