My friend's father showed me his new purchase. I took one shot with it, myself in the mirror. Could you guess the lens? Laughing

Small hint: it is brighter than the human eye Shocked

Well, lessee, since I can sorta read the text on the front of the lens, I'd have to say that it's a Noctilux f/1 (mounted to a M8 ). I could buy a nice used car for the price of that lens. Smile

We love the Domiplan, and when we're finished with it, it WILL be the most expensive lens Laughing

Well I haven't held any great lenses in my hand worth mentioning, but a few crap ones I could name.

Leica NOCTILUX, very obvious...(no guessing needed, the ability to read is enough Wink )

Hey Michael - if it was the latest f0.95 then in the UK you could actually buy a small NEW car for the price of the lens alone...

For such an expensive lens, it doesn't seem to get much of the picture in focus. My camera phone focuses much better than that Laughing Laughing

You are right! This is a Noctilux f1.0 mounted to a M8 Laughing
For the price of this lens you could buy 250 grams of gold Shocked

The Woody Allen scene with the cocaine and the sneeze comes to mind Laughing

So how did it feel? Were you blinded?

Leica has very bright viewfinder, much much more brighter than my Canon, but you do not see through lens, so I survived Laughing

I cannot even afford the lens cap to a any Noctilux 1.0 Sad
But I wish I knew where to get one below $1000 usd, even then I would just buy a L lens.
