Had a stupid situation: one EOS-C/Y with AF confirm chip, which I don't need because Kodak works without one. And then a EOS-M42 without chip, which I would certainly need for use my Helios and other stuff in crop EOS, which don't focus right without chip. So I decided to move the chip.

Tools: soldering iron, grinder, super-glue (the All Plastic version).

Works fine:

I missed this!!

You have a brave heart, no doubt Smile

How did you take out the chip from the old adapter?.

Mine are tightly glued to the ring and I see no way of taking out the chips without damage...

Regards.

Jes.

I am getting more and more problems with AF-confirm chips. I don't feel good using them any more.

If you are happy with it, I'm happy for you.

Some of them not accurate or not accurate all compare with split screen. I also don't use them.
