On another forum I frequent, there have been a few recent posts
which combine multiple images to form one, with the same person
in different locations and poses. I am intrigued by this process,
and would hope to learn more about how to do it.

This is not an HDR process, but it does combine multiple images into
a single result. The example below, by mr. floyd, is a very good one:



I haven't yet turned up anything useful by searching the intarwebz for
instructions, so perhaps I just don't understand the proper terminology
for such a process. Could any of you help me to get started, please?

Try a google search on "multiple exposure effect in photoshop" (without the quotes) and you will get lots of info.

The easiest method is probably to use separate layers, and copy one image on to a layer on top of the other and then erase part of the image to reveal the bottom layer. Flatten the resulting image and then repeat with the next one. As long as the people don't overlap it would be simple.

It got me started on the right track; I'll now need to begin expirimenting.
