Finally got the one I wanted, waited for mint copy at realistic price,paid $349.00 and like new.

Congrats, judging by the pictures it does look to be in mint condition.

It looks like certain mounts (i.e., Nikon) are more available on ebay than others, and Pentax seems to be one of those mounts that doesn't show up often. There is one Dine for Pentax now at USD 250 though.

Nice lens. I found the Vivitar version in Nikon mount at a local camera shop, with the oddball Yuzo ringflash dedicated for Nikon TTL and a set of instructions for the original Dentist Kit, which included a Nikon N60. They were asking $200 for the lens and flash. It took me a couple of days to figure out how to raise the cash, but I did and snagged it before it got away. My kit was missing the N60 but no big deal on that one. Does your Lester Dine have the paper labels on the barrel with the dental areas on one side and the recommended f/stops on the other?

Hi Michael,long time no speak,trust you and yours are AOK.Your lens is exceptionally sharp for crop but it was probably a slide? yes my lens has the different teeth angles and f stop suggestions etc. but they seem to be etched in silver,very neat.

Thanks Attilla and invisible. PK mount seems to be rarest and are in $499-$529 range but I specifically wanted the Lester Dine.

About the crop -- it wasn't a slide. Just a pic I took with my 10.1 mp EOS. It appears the main difference between the Vivitar S1 and the Lester Dine is the dental information is inscribed on the Lester Dine, whereas it's just pasted on the barrel of the Vivitar. Other than that, they should be equivalent optics, according to everything I've read or found out about this Kiron-made macro.

I'm sure it will. Everything I've read and seen about the Lester Dine points to it being a great optic.
