Steinheil also made lenses for many other rangefinder screw mounts, like Braun Paxette and even for Argus C3 (though I don't recall an 85mm for Argus). None would really be usable on SLR either.
And then there are non-screw mounts, of which Steinheil supplied several. Even the Exakta bayonet would be smaller than M42.
