Steinheil Munchen mounts??

Spotted a pair of Steinheil Munchen lenses with a macro bellows on Ebay that are kind of tempting me. According to my magnifying glass one is 35mm f3.5 and the other is 85mm f3.5. The seller can only tell me that the mount is smaller then M42. Does anyone have any ideas on what the diameter of the thread mount is likely to be? I have the Zenit M39 to M42 adapter already so I'm hoping I'll be lucky here.
Thanking you all kindly in advance.

They could be for Leica range finder (M39 screw).
That would not be convertible to SLR as the back focus would be way too short.

Steinheil also made lenses for many other rangefinder screw mounts, like Braun Paxette and even for Argus C3 (though I don't recall an 85mm for Argus). None would really be usable on SLR either.

And then there are non-screw mounts, of which Steinheil supplied several. Even the Exakta bayonet would be smaller than M42. Are you sure these are screw mounts in the first place ?

According to the seller they are but he didn't give me a size. Thanks for the reply. All he's told me is that they are substantially smaller then M42 and screw mount.
Best I correct myself, second examination of the lenses and the 35mm is a Steable Lineogon which were made for Braun in M39.
Oh well, if I win them they can be used on the bellows and no real problem to me as all I've bid is aud $20.

These lenses - most likely - were for the Braun Paxette, which has a register distance of 45.0mm (much longer than the Leica thread mount register which is 28.8mm). The thread itself is Leica thread mount M39 x 26tpi (nearly but not exatly M39 x 1.0) which allows to use a thing M39-M42 ring.

So in short, yes, it is possible to use these lenses on M42 (which per definition has 45.5mm register) but you miss infinity by 0.5mm if you use a standard M42 adaptor and a thin M39 - M42 ring. If you work the adaptor down by 0.5mm infinity will be possble.

Work to do, but you have to decide if that's worth it...

So perhaps using one of those made in China adapters with the flange might just about get me there seeing as the M39 to M42 adapter is at best described as a sleeve? Or is that moving the register into the wrong direction?
