I was browsing the flea market Sunday afternoon and came across this Yashica Electro 35. I seen the camera as soon as we entered the market and inquired about the price. The little old lady wanted 25.00 USD for the package.

I walked on and continued to browse. On the way out the lady stopped me and said she would sell me the gear for 15.00 USD, so I took it. Everything seems to check-out o.k. Im not sure how strong the rangefinder is, I guess I'll find out shortly.

Theres also a small tripod and Yashica case not shown.

Hi Mark,

Yeah, it was a fair deal. The telephoto extension lenses are really awful and quite useless, but it's cool having the entire package with case and tripod.

This camera is pretty basic and almost completely auto. It's basically set up as an aperture priority camera.

Hi Attila,

Thanks for the link to the pics... Smile

I'm about 90% sure this camera will work fine. If not I may have it serviced, as it is the only rangefinder in my collection... Shocked

I had a battery in and the electronics seem to function proper. I will run a roll of film in it this week.

I think if battery in and works properly you will not get any trouble. I look forward your result!

These are so excellent... I'd forgotten the smooth ratchet of the winder, just like a Nikon...

I just loaded some film in it. One thing I noticed is the light seals need replaced. The door was very sticky and had some crumble off.

No problem, easy fix... Smile
