Today was my first chance to try this lens outside. A quick trip to the shops and a walk around the block. Aperture at f/8 on D60 and I used it as a P&S. RAW Capture with "Vivid" defaults except that sharpening was set to "normal" (-from "medium high").

Yes, this lens needs to be used at f/8 to f/11. At f/5.6 the edges are soft and there is pronounced vignetting.

As its not multicoated, a hood is strongly recommended as well.
